Governance
The overall task of the Board of Governors is to ensure that the School runs successfully and smoothly in accordance with the Mission Statement and to ensure the long term sustainability of the school. A Board Executive Committee meets regularly to discuss ongoing matters requiring attention, while full board meetings are held monthly. Any parent may put him/herself forward for election to the Board. Please speak to the Principal, Deputy Head or a current Board member for details on how to go about standing for election. The AGM, at which Board elections take place, is held early in March of each year.

The Parents’ Association is a committee of parents who support the School by organising events for fellowship and fund-raising. They meet approximately once a month, and an Annual General Meeting is held in the first term to elect the Executive Committee. All parents are invited to join the committee. There is no limit to the number of committee members.
To encourage the development of leadership skills and promote self-discipline amongst learners, a system of councils operates as follows:
• There are four councils per year: Assembly, Deportment, House and Social Responsibility and Media Councils.
• Each child is a member of one of the councils over a period of a year.
• A Chairperson, a Vice-Chairperson and a Secretary are chosen for each council at the beginning of the term. These office-bearers meet fortnightly with the Deputy Head to discuss council matters.
• The councils work under the guidance of a teacher to perform their functions.
• Leadership skills are recognised at the end of the year when pupils are awarded certificates for their contributions to the councils.
