In Grades 4 to 7 the Caps Curriculum is followed, with some additions, especially in Natural Science.
Mathematics is taught by means of the Singapore Mathematics Method where there is a greater emphasis on problem solving skills. In addition, assessment in all subjects takes into account the Bloom's Taxonomy such that every assessment task will require a certain amount of higher order thinking, rather than mere memorisation.
External benchmarking is done regularly by means of an external examination such as the ANAs, the Acer Assessments, the Conquesta or the IEB Core Skills Test for Grade 6.
Experiential learning excursions are a compulsory part of the curriculum and pupils from Grade 4 to 7 go on a tour once a year.
Learner Enrichment is timetabled for one lesson per week. During this lesson the pupils receive instruction on study skills and additional reading. A small group in each Grade, identified by the teachers and the Head of Learner Support, receives specialist help in these areas. In Grade 7 a small group of able pupils do enrichment work to extend their learning.
